World No Tobacco Day 2023

Today is World No Tobacco Day, a momentous occasion to raise awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco and promote a tobacco-free society.

Here are some tips that will help you. Please do share these tips with someone who needs them.

✅ Quit for good. If you smoke, make a commitment to quit today. Seek support from friends, family, or professional resources to help you.

✅ Know the risks. Educate yourself about the harmful effects of tobacco use, including increased risks of cancer, heart disease, and respiratory issues. Awareness is the first step towards making a positive change.

✅ Find healthier alternatives. To quit smoking, explore healthier alternatives like nicotine replacement therapy, counselling, or support groups. These can greatly improve your chances of successfully quitting.

✅ Create a smoke-free environment. If you're a non-smoker, ensure your home and workplace are smoke-free zones. Support policies that ban smoking in public places to protect the health of everyone.

✅ Spread the word. Use the power of social media to raise awareness about the dangers of tobacco use. Share informative posts, statistics, and personal stories to encourage others to join the tobacco-free movement.

✅ Support others in their journey to quit. Offer a helping hand to friends or family members who want to quit smoking. Provide them with resources, encouragement, and understanding during their challenging moments.

✅ Practice stress management. Many people turn to smoking as a way to cope with stress. Explore healthy stress-relief techniques such as exercise, meditation, or engaging in hobbies to manage stress effectively.

✅ Celebrate milestones. If you've successfully quit smoking or know someone who has, celebrate their achievements. Share success stories to inspire others and show that a tobacco-free life is possible.

✅ Stay committed. Quitting smoking may have ups and downs, but don't give up. Stay committed to your decision and remind yourself of the benefits you'll experience as a non-smoker.

✅ Be a role model. If you're a non-smoker, be a positive influence on others. Lead by example, support tobacco-free policies, and encourage a healthy, smoke-free lifestyle.

My dear friends, the current pandemic situation has adversely affected us as well as our loved ones. Learning from this pandemic we need to be ready for future situations too. Due to the current situation, the majority of blood donors would not be able to donate blood, blood donations camps are also not being held. This is why it is my humble request to all those interested members and friends of the Aahuti Welfare Society to donate their blood to the nearest blood bank safely. Your act of donating blood will save many lives. Also, please follow the proper protocols of the pandemic.
Thank You.
